Free Agent Status Continues for Golden State Warriors Role Player

JaMychal Green is coming off his ninth year in the NBA, and he appeared in 57 regular season games (and seven NBA playoff games) for the Golden State Warriors.

The 33-year-old averaged 6.4 points and 3.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 54.0% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range.

This summer, Green became a free agent, and (on August 25) he still remains available to be signed by any team in the league.

Green has also played for the San Antonio Spurs, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets.

He has career averages of 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 36.8% from the three-point range in 544 regular season games (he has also appeared in 56 NBA playoff games).

While Green has never been an All-Star, he has had a very productive career as a role player.

Therefore, he could end up being a good addition to a contending team’s bench.

As for the Warriors, they are coming off a season where they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 44-38 record.

They beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs (in seven games) but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).

During Game 2 of the second round, Green was inserted into the starting lineup and put up an impressive 15 points on 66% shooting from the field and 50% from the three-point range in 13 minutes.
