A Brief Letter from Michael Jordan to His Son About Dating Scottie Pippen’s Ex-Wife

Pablo Torre’s interview this week with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus and his girlfriend Larsa Pippen, the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen, was as wild as anything you’ll see all year.

The relationship dynamics at play are beyond strange, which the two even admitted to Torre and Charlotte Wilder.

“Aesthetically it probably doesn’t look good,” Pippen said of the peculiarity of their relationship. “Just to hear of it, it doesn’t resonate well with people.”

But the two do seem happy, and for the most part, the interview seemed normal (or at least as normal as it could have, under the circumstances).

Perhaps the most viral moment in the interview came when Marcus Jordan said he’d like his father to be his best man when he does marry Larsa, which would add a whole additional layer of weird to this situation. But Marcus Jordan also provided some key context to how his father has approached the relationship with his former teammate’s ex-wife, and according to Marcus, Michael Jordan has been supportive.

“The main thing from my dad was, ‘you’re a grown adult,’” Marcus Jordan said. “Ultimately as long as I’m happy, he’s happy. He’s never intervened in my dating life prior to Larsa, and he’s not going to start now.”

There’s almost certainly more drama to come from this relationship in the future, with the couple set to appear on The Real Housewives of Miami. But for now, Jordan and Larsa seem to be going strong and Michael Jordan isn’t intervening. If someone can get Scottie Pippen on the air for an exclusive, that might cause some fireworks.
