When talking about Green’s dismissal, Steph Curry displays an irritated expression

Steph Curry appeared to be frustrated by Draymond Green‘s ejection against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. The superstar point guard discussed the Warriors’ roster construction after the game, noting how the team’s success is based on “everybody being available.”

As such, it’s clear that Green’s absence hit the Warriors hard. Green has been ejected on three occasions this season. He has missed games due to suspension and due to injury. Green will likely serve another suspension after the league has had time to review the incident.

“All the pieces fit for a reason,” Curry said. “They have for a very long time. When you’re missing one, it’s tough. We still had opportunities to win the game tonight. … We wanted to be able to overcome his ejection and the incident, but we couldn’t get it done. We need everybody available; that’s how we’re built. It’s no secret to our success.”

Green has found himself making headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past 18 months. Golden State need him to be on the floor if it is going to have any chance of turning the season around and pushing for a playoff spot.

Curry’s comments were fair. The Warriors need all of their core rotation on the court if they’re going to hit their stride. So far this season, Steve Kerr has continually had to alter his lineups and rotations due to injury. While those alterations aren’t the only reason the Warriors are 10-13 right now, they’ve certainly played a significant part.
