Michael Jordan and Marcus Only Will Collaborate to Boost 33 Years Old Son’s Seven-Year Journey

Michael Jordan‘s 33-year-old son runs a successful boutique called the Trophy Room. The boutique is designed after the trophy room that MJ had in his home and is an attempt to encapsulate the same feeling through their range of products. Marcus, who is extremely proud of his venture is aiming for a collaboration with the Jordan brand.

During a recent interview on Instagram Live, the 33-year-old was asked about the Trophy Room store and his plans to expand the business venture into other cities.

Michael Jordan’s son announces new collaboration

Marcus initially followed in his father’s footsteps by pursuing a career in basketball. After playing in the UCF from 2009 to 2012, his basketball career was pretty much over. However, he continued with his love of the sport after creating a blueprint for his business based on the basketball trophies.

When asked about his plans to expand his business with another Trophy Room store in Miami, Marcus said that the expansion is in the works and we might get to hear the official announcement soon.

However, he did say that this time, the Trophy Room will be collaborating with the Jordan brand. Marcus said, “That’s the goal. Up next for us, we have an exclusive collaboration with the Jordan brand that’s coming out really soon and I can’t say the date”.

During the conversation, Marcus unveiled that he has been fascinated with the sneaker culture and fashion since the very beginning. He said, “I grew up around sneakers and fashion my entire life so for me it was an easy segway into the business world. The name of my boutique is called the Trophy Room and so it is inspired by the trophy room in our house growing up.”

Trophies must’ve been available in abundance around Marcus while he was growing up because his father was, and still is the most accomplished athlete in the world of basketball. However, for Jordan, it wasn’t just his trophies that were showcased but he also included the medals and trophies that his kids won at the time inside the trophy room at his house.

Marcus said, “In the house, the trophy room was centrally located so any time anybody came over, everybody wanted to hang out in the trophy room. So, with the boutique, we try to recreate that atmosphere.” The 33-year-old also unveiled that next week he will be traveling to Paris with his girlfriend Larsa Pippen for fashion week.
