Next year, Jason Statham will shoot an action thriller in London

Jason Statham is set to play Levon Cade in a new action thriller based on the series of books by Chuck Dixon.

Deadline broke the news of the film, called Levon’s Trade, that is currently eyeing a March 2024 start to shooting in London.

The feature – which reunites some of the team behind Statham’s The Beekeeper – is directed by David Ayer from a screenplay by Sylvester Stallone.

The producers are Ayer, Statham, Bill Block, Chris Long, John Friedberg and Stallone, on behalf of their respective production companies.

Levon Cade is a legend in the shadowy world of black ops, whose attempts to go straight with a new career in construction are derailed when he becomes embroiled in the hunt for a missing college student.

Producer Block told Deadline: “I am thrilled to be reuniting with some of my most talented and longstanding partners on Levon’s Trade. I first worked with David Ayer on Fury and it was immediately clear that he is a director at the very top of his game.

“Jason and I have worked together on a number of films, and most recently the three of us collaborated on The Beekeeper. Levon’s Trade is going to be another spectacular action movie and I’m confident we’ve assembled the dream team to bring the first novel in this celebrated series to the big screen.”
