23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick recently “dropped” a video of a viral unboxing on social media platforms, treating fans with the reveal of almost twenty boxes of Air Jordans and glimpses of an instant JDM classic as he justified his claims of having a “nice little surprise” for fans today.
The Nike-backed multi-million dollar sneaker brand owned by 7-time NBA champion Michael Jordan had the best of their latest releases proudly promoted on the #45 Toyota Camry XSE driver’s official handles on Twitter and Instagram. However, it was Reddick’s garage and his possession of a beautiful white Toyota Supra MK4 (A80) that received all the attention.

Reddick had earlier announced this unboxing video with over 5000 dedicated fans anticipating his actions on Instagram. He posted a picture of himself leaning against another Supra, a Gen 5 GR alongside his son, Beau. The “shipment” of Jordan shoes was stacked in towers, on either side of the father-son duo. Fans noticed the iconic badge and a part of the Gen 4’s rear peeking into this picture from the left, leading to many whispers, and even Xfinity Series driver Parker Kilgerman rushed the comments to observe: “I spy a mk4 Supra”.
When the video was finally released by Reddick, it became viral on social media instantly. More than 42k fans viewed Reddick’s hard-earned fortunes, and the speculations came true when shifting camera angles clearly showed the Gen 4 gem elegantly basking in the luminescent lights of Reddick’s garage.
On Instagram, fans went rampant over this little detail with everyone’s collective sentiment ultimately ending up declaring, “IS THAT A SUPRA?!” A rhetorical question made famous in pop culture references, only due to the popularity of this specific 90’s JDM model.
One fan even went as far as to say, “Jordan gear is great, but mk4 Supras are greaterer 😅”. That may be a controversial statement, but the pull of the Supra was indeed strong in the comments section as a fan comically noted, “You’ve waken up the supra kids”
The video revealed more than just Reddick’s impressive Toyota Supra collection and Jordan shoes, however. A black Chevrolet Camaro also made a cameo from the backgrounds of the #45’s garage and @mk_s550 was the first to notice: “Man you still own the Camaro 🤔🤔🤔”.
A Camaro Thrown in The Mix
Tyler Reddick may own a Camaro but his Toyota preferences were visibly heavier as fans got to see not one but two models of the iconic Toyota Motor Corporation effort that initially kicked off in 1978. The Supra has seen itself evolve over five generations of steady improvements.
Early models, introduced in the late 70s and early 80s, shared a platform with the Celica and offered a range of four and six-cylinder engines. The third generation, launched in 1986, became a standalone model with a focus on performance, introducing a 3.0-liter inline-six engine that became turbocharged later on. The iconic fourth generation, revered for its looks and power, arrived in 1993 with a lighter chassis and the legendary 2JZ-GTE twin-turbo inline-six. Toyota revived the Supra legacy in 2019 after more than 15 years, with the release of a fifth-generation model, co-developed with BMW.
This legacy was solidified in NASCAR history with the introduction of another one of Michael Jordan’s ventures, alongside veteran Cup Series driver Denny Hamlin in 2021 – 23XI Racing, backed by Toyota Racing Development. Since Reddick joined 23XI last year, he has taken their NCS model, the Camry to victory lane two times. Interestingly the last time he drove a Chevrolet in the Cup Series was his 2020-22 stint with Richard Childress Racing.
