Steph Curry’s condition for the Warriors vs. Mavericks game at Golden State

The Golden State Warriors picked up a huge win on Thursday night, defeating the Houston Rockets to essentially clinch their spot in the postseason. While Golden State is still likely to finish in the play-in tournament, a six-game winning streak has them within striking distance of a few teams.

Facing the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, Golden State has released their injury report for this game, and Steph Curry is available to play. This is the time of year when teams will often be cautious with their star players, especially on back-to-backs, but Golden State does not have that luxury right now.

Curry is usually a player who plays both ends of a back-to-back when healthy, so this is nothing new for him, but Golden State would certainly like to be in a position where they had some more security down the stretch of the season. With how their year has gone, that is not the case for the Warriors, as every game is crucial between now and the end of the regular season.

Golden State enters this game four games back of the Mavericks in the Western Conference standings, so even a win on Friday would likely not pull them within reach of Dallas, but there are multiple other teams the Warriors believe they have a real chance at catching before the season ends.
