The Most Impressive Moments of Stephen Curry’s 2023–24 Season

On Sunday, Stephen Curry was named a finalist for the NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year Award. Curry leads the NBA in ‘clutch time’ scoring, defined by the league as the last five minutes of a game in which the score is within five points. He is joined by Chicago’s DeMar DeRozan and Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as finalists, with the winner set to be announced on Thursday at 4 p.m. on TNT.

Curry has the most game-winning shots in the last five seconds of the fourth quarter and overtime over the last decade (10) and added two more to his total this season. He also recorded a career-high for points in the fourth quarter this season (22) and delivered explosive scoring outputs in multiple overtime games. Feb. 10: Curry Hits Game-Winning Splash Over Suns


With 0.7 seconds remaining, Curry recovered an errant inbounds pass near halfcourt and launched a rainbow splash over the outstretched arms of a leaping Devin Booker for his 10th career game-winning shot. The Warriors defeated the Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal led Phoenix Suns 113-112 behind Curry’s team-high 30 points and nine rebounds.

Dec. 19: Curry Scores 20 Points in 4th Quarter and OT, Hits Dagger Shot in Win Over Celtics
Curry scored 20 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to propel the Warriors to a 132-126 victory over the Boston Celtics. Despite picking up his fifth foul in the third quarter, Curry played the entire fourth quarter and overtime and his 3-pointer with 10.6 seconds left sealed the game.’

Feb. 3: Curry Scores 22 Fourth-Quarter Points in 60-Point Game vs. Hawks
Curry scored a career-high 22 points in the fourth quarter en route to a season-high 60 points — his second career 60-point game — in a 141-134 overtime loss to the Atlanta Hawks. He had a go-ahead layup with 13.8 seconds left in regulation, putting the Dubs up by two, but Hawks’ guard Dejounte Murray answered with a jumper on the other end. Curry scored eight of the Warriors’ 11 points in overtime

Jan. 27: Curry Scores 46 Points, Hits Clutch Baskets vs. Lakers in Double-OT Thriller


Curry’s ninth 3-pointer and 46th points put the Warriors up by one with 4.7 seconds remaining in double overtime, but the Warriors ultimately lost 145-144 to the Los Angeles Lakers. Curry’s game-tying layup sent the game into overtime and he scored 15 points in the two extra periods, including 10 points in the second bonus frame.

Nov. 3: Curry Game-Winner in First-Ever In-Season Tournament Game
Curry converted a game-winning layup with 0.2 seconds left in the Warriors’ 141-139 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in their first-ever In-Season Tournament game. Curry scored 30 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out seven assists on 60-50-100 shooting splits (FG%, 3PT% FT%)
