Stephen Curry escapes serious injury as MRI reveals no structural damage to his right ankle, confirming a sprain following a painful incident against the Chicago Bulls, with a re-evaluation scheduled for Tuesday.

On Saturday, the Golden State Warriors announced that Stephen Curry underwent an MRI on his right ankle after sustaining an injury in the fourth quarter of Thursday’s 125-122 loss to the Chicago Bulls at Chase Center.

The MRI results revealed no structural damage to the joint, confirming the injury as a sprained ankle. Curry will undergo a re-evaluation on Tuesday.

The injury occurred when Curry received a pass in the lane against the Bulls. As he planted his right foot, his ankle rolled severely, causing immediate pain and forcing him to limp off the court.

Curry is averaging 26.9 points and 4.9 assists with a 40.7 percent success rate from the 3-point range.
