“Top Guy Thing”: Despite the Rock’s own explanation, Dwayne Johnson’s unprofessional behavior on set is attributed to ego.

Dwayne Johnson has been slathered with accusations of unprofessionalism lately. From Hollywood to the pro wrestling industry, the superstar is being called out for being late, as well as for behavior that some may deem as ‘inappropriate’. Recently, a WWE legend’s podcast shed some light on what is going on in the headlines.

While there have been many clarifications from Johnson’s professional partners who claim that the rumors surrounding the controversies are false and exaggerated, the co-host on Kevin Nash‘s podcast, Sean Oliver, gave his opinion on the topic as well.

Dwayne Johnson’s top card role may have to do something with this

The Rock is among the highest-paid actors in Hollywood and also one of the living legends on the WWE roster. This makes him valuable for both industries. The co-host of Kliq This, Sean Oliver, believes that the alleged controversies could be true because of his star status.

“Dwayne Johnson is being unfairly portrayed regarding his behavior on sets and at recent wrestling events being late and apparently urinating in water bottles, which I guess is a top guy thing,” Oliver mentioned during the 96th episode of the podcast while Kevin Nash was listening to the argument. He indirectly commented that The Rock’s ego as the top-card person in both industries might have resulted in the ‘unprofessional’ incidents taking place.

Although Johnson’s business partners denied the ‘being late’ accusation, they didn’t comment on the ‘peeing-in-the-bottle’ situation. This is because The Brahma Bull had already explained it in 2017 in an Instagram video. While talking about his workout, Johnson said that he relieves himself in a bottle during training to save time as he receives nature’s calls several times during the day.

Dwayne Johnson has been under the scanner for the past few days because of an insider’s claims of ‘Red One’ suffering because of The Rock’s unprofessional.

Dwayne Johnson’s unprofessionalism cost Red One $50 million

Apart from the UFC legend Mark Kerr-based film, ‘The Smashing Machine’, Johnson is also set to star in ‘Red One’. The film, which is scheduled to be released in November this year, has faced many delays and insiders blamed Dwayne Johnson for the same. Speaking to The Wrap, an insider from the set claimed, “The only thing Dwayne was consistent at was being chronically late.” As per the sources, the delay caused by the 52-year-old resulted in production costs getting increased by $50 million.

Amazon MGM was quick to refute the claims as they mentioned, “Dwayne Johnson and Seven Bucks have been incredible partners on Red One — a film that audiences of all ages are going to love this holiday season. Any reporting that implies that we got to this point with him showing up seven-eight hours late to set is both ridiculous and false.” However, people are finding it hard to believe the explanation offered by the studios and thus Johnson is being subjected to criticism.
