Warriors’ Icon A Plan for Steph Curry: Play More Golf!

When watching Golden State Warriors icon Steph Curry perform, there is really no indication that there is an end in sight, and no indication that he’s 36 years old.

But he himself is aware of it.

And he has a plan of a sort. More golf!

In a recent interview with Max Adler of Golf Digest, Curry – an avid and talented golfer – revealed his goal of playing on the PGA Tour Champions once his vaunted basketball career is over.

There are celebrity events. This is a level way, way above that.

The PGA Tour Champions is a professional senior tour meant for the best golfers age 50 or older. Again, Curry is 36, so … yes, clearly there is a long-term vision here.

“I don’t know what the path is,” Curry said. “All I know is, when I’m done with basketball, I’m going to reasonably invest as much into my golf as I can to see how good I can get, and where that puts me 14 years from now, we’ll see.”

Warriors fans have every reason to think they can continue to enjoy Curry on the hardwood; Curry’s four-year, $215.3 million contract takes him through the end of the 2025-26 season … and so it figures to be a full 17 years for him in a Golden State uniform.

And then? Curry can shift his focus from on winning more championships to … well, winning more championships.
