Ahead of the Paris Olympics, Michael Jordan and Beyoncé extend their support for Team USA gymnast Jordan Chiles.

Jordan Chiles has revealed two heartwarming messages of support sent to her from two of her icons – Michael Jordan and Beyonce – ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

With just a little less than a week to go before the opening ceremony on July 26, the 23-year-old, Team USA gymnast took to social media to show that she was over the moon about the popstar and ex-NBA player’s words of encouragement to her.

She posted a plaque of Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter album art with a personal lengthy note written by the ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ hitmaker on her Instagram Story on July 17th.

‘Congrats to you Queen. Always watching you with pride and admiration,’ Beyonce wrote in a silver marker. ‘Thank you for reppin’ us. Good luck to you,’ she added.

Another message handwritten by Beyonce on the plaque also read: ‘All of your hard work and sacrifice shines bright. Praying for you and wishing you the best. Love your twin, Beyonce.’

Chiles reacted to Bey’s gift by writing over the frame of the plaque on her Insta Story: ‘Ahhhh!! I’m screaming right now!! Y’all Beyonce sent me this and I’m crying.’

She then shared a text message directly sent to her from Jordan, 61. The six-time NBA champion wrote: ‘Hey Jordan, this is Michael Jordan. I am so excited to watch you win a gold medal.

‘Here’s to wishing you nothing but good luck. Let’s catchup afterwards. Hope to see you soon. MJ.’

The former Chicago Bulls guard also teased Chiles by signing off with a sweet joke: ‘Btw love the name,’ he wrote.

Chiles provided her reaction to Jordan’s text on her Insta Story, writing over a snap of the note: ‘Y’all ain’t going to believe this one either… the Michael Jordan!!!

‘My Olympic experience is only beginning, and I thank God everyday!!’

Chiles’s message from Jordan holds personal significant to the 2020 Tokyo silver medalist considering her name was inspired by the basketball icon.

‘My mom was a huge fan since she was young,’ Chiles told People in April 2023.

‘She felt the inspiration that he gave to her, and that was just a really huge and beautiful thing,’ she continued. ‘She just decided, ”You know what? I’m going to make my child after him and see where life takes her.’

At the time of the interview, Chiles had also share hopes of meeting ‘His Airness’ one day.

‘I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll actually be able to meet him and just get his advice for being somebody that looks up to him, what he gives out,’ she said.
