Steph Curry gets eight points against Puerto Rico as Team USA secures the top seed in the medal round.

Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry scored eight points and grabbed five rebounds in the United States men’s basketball team’s win over Puerto Rico at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Saturday.

On Saturday morning in Lille, Team USA punched their ticket to medal round, securing the top overall seed in the quarterfinals with a 104-83 win over Puerto Rico. Team USA finished on top of Group C with a 3-0 record during the group stage of the men’s basketball tournament.

After an ice-cold performance against South Sudan, Stephen Curry got back on the board with eight points on 3-of-8 shooting from the field to go along with five rebounds, an assist and steal in 18 minutes against Puerto Rico. Following an 0-for-6 shooting night from deep against South Sudan, Curry buried a pair of triples against Puerto Rico.

Anthony Edwards took over for Team USA, scoring a game-high 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field with three made 3-pointers in 17 minutes off the bench. Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, LeBron James and Joel Embiid all scored in double-figures against Puerto Rico on Saturday morning.

New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado led Puerto Rico with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field in 22 minutes.

Team USA will now move on to the quarterfinals on Tuesday against Brazil. Curry will line up against his teammate Gui Santos with Brazil.
