Micky Arison’s Sixth Sense Yacht Will Blow Your Mind
The Sixth Sense features six lavishly spacious suites, accommodating up to 12 guests comfortably. Additionally, a crew of 19 is always on hand to attend to the guests’ needs. Naturally, it costs around $9 million annually to maintain the yacht. It is currently valued at $90 million. The 74-meter yacht was once spotted docked at the Marina Molo Vecchio in Genoa, sparking curiosity among yacht enthusiasts.
Powered by Caterpillar diesel engines, it has a cruising speed of 13 knots. Arison also owns the yachts Mylin IV and Sirona. The mastermind behind this exceptional creation is UK-based luxury yacht designer Tim Heywood. Heywood’s 40 years of experience in yacht design speaks volumes about the yacht’s quality and facilities.
Built by Netherlands-based yacht builders Amels Yachts, this custom-made yacht is likely a completely different experience compared to Jordan’s Super Joy. After all, how could we expect any less from a yacht designed by the owner of a global cruise operator?
Formerly known as Carnival Corporation, the company is now called Carnival Cruise Line and is the family business of Arison, founded by his father, Ted Arison. He also owns several cruise lines, including Princess Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, and more.
As per Bloomberg, the businessman has a net worth of $13.0 billion. It was Ted Arison who purchased the ownership stake in the Miami Heat in 1998.
Under Micky Arison’s ownership, the team won three NBA titles in 2006, 2012, and 2013. Owning a franchise has also been very beneficial to His Airness.
Michael Jordan’s super cool yacht ‘Joy’
MJ has some impressive boats and yachts in his collection if not many. One of the crown jewels of his collection is his Superyacht Joy, worth $80 million. He purchased it in 2016. The yacht measures 230 feet in length and surprisingly has two more cabins than the Sixth Sense. As expected, it features nearly every luxury amenity available, including a terrace with breathtaking ocean views, a movie theater, a spa, and an indoor jacuzzi.
Jordan reportedly spends around $38.4 million annually on this vessel for maintenance, making it the largest in his fleet. His other boats include Mr. Terrible, valued at $21 million, and his favorite fishing boat, Catch 23. Jordan’s net worth saw a significant rise after he sold his majority shares in the Charlotte Hornets to Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin.
The shares were reportedly worth $3 billion, elevating the NBA legend to the title of the richest NBA player. The Chicago Bulls legend is one of the richest in terms of fan affection. With career earnings of $94 million and substantial deals with brands such as Gatorade, McDonald’s, Nike, and more, Jordan’s net worth is constantly boosted.
