Popular Stephen Curry Lakers image isn’t real

A screenshot of what appears to be Stephen Curry’s Instagram story surfaced recently, and NBA fans ran with it yesterday. In the picture, Curry is wearing a Lakers jersey and is captioned, “Stop sending me this pic @kingjames,” then goes on to say, “Look good though.”

Speculation that Curry wants out of Golden State and prefers to team up with LeBron James in Los Angeles is starting to become out of control. No legit reports have surfaced that the superstar point guard is unhappy with the Warriors.

One of the many fake social media reporters doctored the photo, but it had some people fooled at first. Curry’s recent social media activity has spiraled the rumor mill to unmanageable levels, and rampant trade theories could lead worried fans to be tricked easily.

While in Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, Curry made it clear that he “wants to be a Warrior for life.” The only way that would change is if Golden State became a “bottom feeder” team.

He does not see that happening anytime soon, and the simple fact of having the two-time MVP on the roster likely means they will not become one of the worst teams in the NBA in the immediate future. Curry alone makes the Warriors a competitive organization.

It is hard to know exactly what is going on in Steph Curry’s mind because he has not made any public statements since leaving Paris, but until he comes out and says he is no longer satisfied with the franchise, it is safe to assume he will continue to be a Warrior.
