A Michael Jordan-themed surprise helps an NHL coach tell his two daughters something that will change their lives

Over the years, Michael Jordan has grown the Air Jordan brand to unimaginable heights. Although those shoes are a major part of sports and fashion, they were recently used to give a sweet surprise to young children. A few days ago, John Hynes joined the Minnesota Wild as their new head coach in the NHL.

When it was finally time for John Hynes to let his daughters know of his new role, he decided to take some help from Michael Jordan and his shoes to do so.

Michael Jordan’s brand was part of a happy surprise

According to reports from the Tennessean, it was Michael Jordan’s shoe brand which pays Jordan millions of dollars every year that helped Hynes reveal this news to two of his daughters. Sophia, a senior, and Julia, a junior at Ravenwood High School, came home to brand-new shoes.

Hynes revealed that he sent his daughters some Air Jordan shoes with the Wild’s colors. His wife then asked the daughters what they thought of them. They said that they liked it and that it was cute.

When the daughters questioned why they were being given those shoes, John Hynes’ wife Sarah told them, “Oh, I think it’s our new family colors.“

That’s when they realized that their father, who was fired earlier in May, is now appointed as a new head coach. His youngest daughter, Anna, found out later in the evening when she returned from her basketball practice.

ohn Hynes got his revenge
After taking over as the head coach, he recently faced off against the team that fired him. Hynes was fired from the Nashville Predators almost 6 months ago. Hynes and the Wild faced the Nashville Predators yesterday, 2 days after he took the help of Michael Jordan’s brand he had to take a flight to Nashville.

The Wild got a resounding win against the Predators with a score of 6-1. After seven consecutive losses, the Wild decided to hire Hynes as head coach. This has paid off as they are now on a two-game winning streak.
