The Beekeeper and action movie icon Jason Statham will reunite with director David Ayer for Levon’s Trade, with the movie now adding a whole host of familiar names and faces to the cast. As per a report by Deadline, Levon’s Trade will star David Harbour (Stranger Things), Michael Peña (Narcos: Mexico), Jason Flemyng (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and Arianna Rivas (The Harvest) alongside Statham, who takes the lead as a construction worker with a violent past. Principal photography on the action flick has now begun in London.
You can check out the official synopsis for Levon’s Trade below.
“Levon Cade (Statham) left his “profession” behind him to go straight and work in construction. He wants to live a simple life and be a good father to his daughter (Gie). But when his boss’s teenage daughter Jenny (Rivas) vanishes, he’s called upon to re-employ the skills that made him a legendary figure in the shadowy world of black ops. His hunt for the missing college student takes him deep into the heart of a sinister criminal conspiracy creating a chain reaction that will threaten his new way of life.”
The script for Levon’s Trade has been written by Statham’s Expendables co-star Sylvester Stallone, and is based on the novel of the same name by comic writer Chuck Dixon. It is the first in 11 books featuring Levon Cade, so expect the movie to spark a franchise for The Stath and Ayer should it be as successful as their last foray into the shadowy world of black ops, The Beekeeper.
The rest of the cast includes Noemi Gonzalez, Emmett Scanlan, Eve Mauro, Maximilian Osinski, Kristina Poli, Andrej Kaminsky, and West End star Isla Gie who makes her big screen debut as Levon Cade’s daughter.
