The Golden State Warriors made one of the most shocking trades in recent NBA history.
Swapping Jordan Poole for Chris Paul didn’t seem to make sense for several reasons.
Their ages, their contract situations, Paul’s apparent beef with Draymond Green, and the fact that they already had Stephen Curry out there were among the reasons.
But now that Paul is on board and seemingly wants to make things work in the Bay Area, the Dubs might have the best point guard duo in the league right now by a very wide margin.
At least, that’s how Law Murray of The Athletic seems to feel about it, as he recently stated that they have the deepest PG room in the NBA right now.
It’s funny that we still have historical debates like “Stephen Curry or Magic Johnson?”
It is even funnier that Curry’s new handcuff at PG is Chris Paul.
Where do the Warriors’ rank at the spot across the league?

Most people believe that Paul will come off the bench and anchor the second unit, and that would definitely make the most sense.
His presence there could bring out the best of young players like Jonathan Kuminga or Moses Moody, not to mention the fact that they would have a much deeper team and he would allow Curry to stay fresh for when it matters the most.
They could also stagger their minutes and have them on the court together, with Paul running the offense and Steph playing off the ball.
Paul’s style of play is the opposite to what the Warriors have ran since Steve Kerr took the reins of the team, but great players always figure things out, and he’s one of the greatest there’s ever been in this league.
