The star appeared to be taking direction from crew members before hopping into a sleek Mclaren sports car while on set.
The last film in the series, The Fate of the Furious, or Fast 8, will be followed up with a spin-off movie depicting the relationship between Jason’s character Deckard and Luke Hobbs.
The film has been titled Hobbs and Shaw and will co-star The Rock, slated to be hitting cinemas in July next year.
The demand for the film has also pushed back the release date of the ninth instalment of the Fast and Furious series.
Jason welcomed son Jack with his fiance Rosie Huntington-Whitely in June 2017, a year after announcing their engagement.
The duo have been dating for nearly a decade, first becoming an item in 2010 and will reportedly wed later this year.
Rosie has previously described Jason as the ‘greatest influence’ in her life and the Mail On Sunday reported that the couple are likely to send out invitations in the next few weeks.
The couple had originally planned to get married last year, but put their plans on hold because of Rosie’s pregnancy.
