It’s not the first time in the last few months that Ayesha Curry fell prey to fans’ wrath online. Her NBA superstar husband Stephen Curry has had a noteworthy offseason so far with grand golf success and a documentary release. However, his wife faced online hate for various reasons, including claims of her being disloyal and jealous. Just days after the Golden State Warriors crashed out of the playoffs, a two-year-old video of Ayesha went viral for all the wrong reasons. In the video, the 34-year-old entrepreneur jokingly attempted to remove her wedding ring, looking at a shirtless waiter in a reality show. Following that, bullies accused her of being disloyal to her husband.
More recently, in a viral video clip of rapper Drake meeting Steph at his concert, Ayesha casually side-eyes her husband, and they called her jealous. Now, the online bullies have found another reason to target her and this time, they call her a ‘liar’. Consequently, Curry again found herself amidst trolls.
Stephen Curry and Ayesha promote a new skincare product on IG
Apart from being famous because of her NBA superstar husband, Ayesha is a successful entrepreneur. As part of a promotion for her newly launched skincare brand, Sweet July Skin, the couple engaged in a tutorial video.
The video features Ayesha directing Stephen Curry on her skin care routine. While the video starts with Steph calling the head band a “Ninja turtle,” it seemed all fine until online bullies pointed out something else.
Notably, in the viral video, fans in the comments section pointed out that Ayesha had her makeup on as she did her routine. Moreover, fans also criticized Vogue for promoting Ayesha’s products.
Fans’ wrath heats up the comments
Fans swarmed the comments section, trashing Ayesha and called her a ‘liar’. One user said, “Honestly @voguemagazine this is false advertising. She’s wearing a fool face of makeup.”
Here are some similar reactions from the comments section.
“Isn’t she wearing makeup? Eye shadows I see at least!”
“She’s still wearing makeup”
“Vogue, you ok?”
“We don’t need another celeb skincare line. NEXT!”
“No one wants to watch this cringe s**t vogue.”
Despite the overflowing comments on her makeup, though, some fans did enjoyed the video, as they commented on the bond between the star couple. As always, Ayesha has remained unfazed by the flurry.
