With the NBA’s All-Star Weekend being hosted in Indiana this year, it was just revealed by The Athletic’s Shams Charania that the Golden State Warriors are nearing an agreement to host the 2025 festivities at Chase Center. This is big news, because not only will it give the recently opened Chase Center another major event, but it will give the San Francisco community a lot of exciting opportunities.
While All-Star Weekend is of course focused on the All-Star Game and All-Star Saturday Night, there are several community events put on throughout the entire weekend that help build up different business, programs, and initiatives in the area. NBA stars present at the festivities always get involved in these different events, which makes the entire weekend a big moment for whatever city is hosting everything.
Seemingly close to bringing All-Star Weekend back to California, the Warriors are also one of the teams who regularly have multiple All-Stars represented each season. With Steph Curry still being a perennial All-Star, he often find himself joined by teammates like Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins each All-Star weekend.
While it’s of course too far away to predict who will be a 2025 All-Star, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Warriors had somebody from their team playing in that Sunday evening All-Star game at Chase Center.
