Saric will most likely sign a league-minimum contract with the Warriors unless he receives a deal that’s worth more than the minimum.
Dario Saric and Christian Wood are the two remaining free agents that have gathered the most attention. The Croatian forward’s next destination is most likely already known.
Both Wood and Saric have only attracted offers for a minimum contract. If nothing changes and he doesn’t receive a deal beyond the league minimum, Saric is most likely to sign with the Golden State Warriors, NBA insider Marc Stein notes.
Alongside a second-round pick, Saric was traded in February by the Phoenix Suns to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Darius Bazley. After transferring to the Thunder, Saric averaged 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game on 51.5% shooting.
Overall, last season was Saric’s worst statistically ever since he came into the NBA in 2016 – 6.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists in 14 minutes of playing time.
“I will tell you that I think Dario will stay in the NBA. He wouldn’t want to come [back to Europe],” Saric’s agent Misko Raznatovic said back in April to SDNA.
