Steph Curry will enter his 15th NBA season when the Golden State Warriors face the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, October 24. He has been a starter in every season. Curry has been instrumental to the Warriors dynasty and will continue to play a key role in any success the franchise has in the near future.
Draymond Green believes Curry’s incredible longevity is down to his “burning” passion for the game. Green also believes Curry’s work ethic has played a large role in his ability to consistently be among the best players in the world. The veteran forward believes Curry is “trying to defeat age.”
“He’s one of the most special people you’ll be around,” Green said during a recent appearance on Sirius XM NBA Radio. “… He smiles. He’s the golden child. He’s all of these things – baby-faced assassin – you name it. Underneath all of that is a never-dying passing that’s just burning, raging. And he works as hard as I’ve ever seen anybody work. Whether that’s in the weight room. Whether that’s on the basketball court. In life. He’s always reading a book. He works harder than anyone I’ve seen work. You can just watch him; he’s trying to defeat age…This dude is trying to defeat age. He’s beating those odds right now.”
Curry is still seen as one of the best players in the NBA. He’s also viewed as a top-three guard in league history. The veteran sharpshooter continues to defy the aging process. He continues to make jaw-dropping plays and make shots from an eye-popping distance.
Golden State will be entering the 2023-24 season with hopes of their core winning a fifth championship. Curry’s performances and presence within the rotation will be integral to those hopes becoming a reality. He might be entering the last phase of his career, but his impact is undeniable.
