On Saturday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Dallas Mavericks at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Two-time MVP Steph Curry is playing in his 912th career game, which moves ahead of Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman and ties Brent Barry for 245th on the NBA’s all-time regular season games played list.
Following Barry, the next player for Curry to pass will be Latrell Sprewell (913).
Curry will turn 36 later this season, but he still remains among the ten best players in the league and will likely make his tenth NBA All-Star Game.
He came into the evening with averages of 27.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 41.0% from the three-point range in 29 games.
That said, the Warriors have gotten off to a slow start to the season and are the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 15-16 record in their first 31 games.
They are 5-5 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
Most recently, the Warriors lost (at home) to the Miami Heat by a score of 114-102.
Following the Mavs, they will stay at home to host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday evening at the Chase Center.
Curry is in his 15th season in the league and has led the Warriors to four titles since the 2015 season.
His career averages are 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest while shooting 47.4% from the field and 42.7% from the three-point range.
