Dwayne Johnson allegedly caused a $250 million budget crisis for his new movie.

The lengthy report is as much about Red One as it is about Johnson’s behavior more generally as a big star. In The Wrap’s report, one insider claims that the actor’s tardiness stems from his refusal to work more than five hours a day and that this has caused problems on past productions. According to the report, it’s Johnson’s lateness that is partly to blame for his feud with Vin Diesel on the Fast & Furious franchise, as well as a separate on-set blowout that occurred with Ryan Reynolds on the set of Netflix’s Red Notice.

Other revelations in the report include claims that Johnson would regularly break quarantine rules while filming Red Notice in order to fly home on his private jet and that the actor has a habit of urinating into water bottles while on set to save time (though this is not said to have occurred on Red One). A large section of the report is also dedicated to Garcia and his alleged ineptitude as a producer, with the executive having started off as Johnson’s personal assistant before becoming the President of Production at Seven Bucks.

The report makes clear that representatives from both Prime Video and Netflix have largely denied most of the insiders’ claims outlined above about Red Notice and Red One. According to comments from Amazon spokespeople, Red One’s $250 million budget did not deviate wildly from what was agreed and Johnson was not regularly late. In any case, this new report is certainly not a good look for Johnson, who frequently touts his work ethic online, nor for Red One, which represents a wildly expensive endeavor for Prime Video.
