Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Seen Crying After Triple H’s Big Personal Gesture

Last January, TKO announced that the most electrifying man in show business, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, was ready to start the next chapter of his life with TKO Group Holdings. The Brahma Bull became the new member of TKO’s Board of Directors. This was following the announcement of WWE’s massive $5 billion deal with Netflix. The contract will see the transfer of its flagship show, Monday Night Raw, to the streaming platform for 10 years. The cataclysmic change starts to unfold from January 2025.

Apart from this, The Rock also had his first full formal wrestling match in more than a decade. The actor and professional wrestler actively participated in the two days of The Showcase of Immortals. He made his presence known in the main story that pitted Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes against each other for the Undisputed Universal Championship.

And now that WrestleMania XL has cemented itself as one of the greatest WrestleMania in history, WWE released the WrestleMania XL ‘Behind the Curtains’ documentary. The hour-long documentary features all the behind-the-scenes scoops and ideas shared during the Road to WrestleMania and on the nights of the grand spectacle. One segment featured in the documentary showed The Rock being shedding tears after a sweet gesture by Triple H.

In the documentary, a scene ensues where The Rock’s speech after joining the TKO board is shown to the audience. The Brahma Bull followed this announcement by taking a tour of the office building. The WWE office consists of various memorabilia to pay proper tribute to all their legends with pictures, statues, as well as titles on display for all to see. One such picture that moved Johnson was of his father, the late Rocky Johnson. The Rock, who lost his father in 2020, was moved to tears as he thanked Triple H for having a picture of his father on the walls.

Rocky Johnson was one of the most prominent wrestling athletes of the 1970s and 1980s. He worked with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in the 1970s and the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in the 1980s, until his retirement in 1991. Later, he helped his son Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson train. Thus creating one of the most famous wrestlers in WWF/WWE history.

The WWE hired the iconic figure as a coach for its youth academy in 2003. He earned his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2008, along with his father-in-law, Peter Maivia. Both of whom were inducted by The Rock. Rocky Johnson died on January 15, 2020, at the age of 75, at his home in Lutz (Florida). The house was His son, The Rock, bought the house for his parents for a figure of $800,000.

It was a tremendous loss for his loved ones, especially for his son, Dwayne Johnson. As at the time of his father’s death, The Rock was in Mexico, in the state of Jalisco. It was truly touching to see a gentle giant like the Rock break down in front of the camera. Overwhelmed with pride and remembrance of his late father.
