“Fakest Guy”: Dwayne Johnson’s Rampant Self Promotion Earns Heavy Backlash Online As Truth About Social Media Posts Surfaces

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has done and won it all. As a wrestler, he began his wrestling career in WWE in 1996. The third-generation wrestler became famous for his rivalries with wrestlers such as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Triple H. He has won eight WWE championships (and one People’s championship), has a New York Times bestselling autobiography titled ‘The Rock Says,’ and has also been a part of several successful films such as ‘Fast X,’, ‘Jungle Cruise’ and “Jumanji”

He also has a portfolio of businesses that include his production company Seven Bucks Productions, tequila brand Teremana Tequila, energy drink company ZOA Energy, clothing brand Project Rock, and the United Football League. But has all this success and the pressures of it affected his public persona? So much so that The Rock no longer feels human? That is what a lot of fans believe now, as it has been revealed that the Brahma Bull is losing thousands of followers every day.

The downfall of Dwayne Johnson

While everyone knows that the Rock is a gentle giant, there are instances where he seems to be trying too hard to be nice. Every time that Johnson has found himself cornered, he has come up with a reply that seems a lot PR-driven rather than something coming from the heart of a human. Like when he faced backlash for being friends with Joe Rogan, or for being criticized for not ‘donating enough’ during the Hawaii fires, the Rock straight apologized rather than putting forth any opinion. And the same has been done by the superstar several times in his career, so far as revealed in a recent YouTube video that exposes his deeds.

There’s also the fact that several health experts have called out the Brahma Bull for lying about his use of steroids or the claims of eating 6-8 thousand calories every day. The worst crime of all, according to the public, has been the fact that almost 80% of his Instagram posts are just ads, or subtle ways to promote his businesses, such as his tequila brand. This has highly annoyed the fans as they took no time to call out his actions on his Instagram, as well as in the comments of the aforementioned YouTube video.

Fans call out the Brahma Bull for being fake

Several fans have been calling out Johnson for being fake for a long time. And somehow the Brahma Bull has managed to get on the nerves of the fans, that they cannot bear him anymore. Like this one fan commented,

“Dude is fakest guy ive ever seen. Can’t stand him now.”

In fact, the Rock seems less like a celebrity and more like a standout corporate employee to this user.

“The Rock is what every HR department thinks their employees should be like 24/7”.

But while they still considered him human, some felt like the Rock had become a walking embodiment of public relations and advertisement. Like this one user claimed.

“The Rock is now a product not a person”

While another user believed that the Rock is no longer flesh and blood.

“Sometimes I forget the Rock is an actual person. He’s literally just a flesh and blood advertisement.”

Another user felt bad for the Brahma Bull, as they believed that maybe the Rock had just forgotten his true personality.

“I dont think even the rock knows who dwayne johnson is supposed to be, dudes been playing the public figure/walking ad role for so long.”

It surely looks like the Rock needs to start acting more human now. Especially if he does not want to play heel outside the WWE as well. What do you think? Do you agree with the fans? Let us know in the comments.
