Gilbert Arenas continues to make headlines in the NBA digital space with his wild takes.
Just days after saying Steph Curry isn’t a generational talent, Arenas said the Golden State Warriors star doesn’t demand the same attention from opposing defenses as Allen Iverson did.
“Allen Iverson demanded all five [players].[Steph Curry] has never been quadruple-teamed… If Klay [Thompson] was with Allen Iverson, he would average 30,” Arenas said on the latest episode of Gil’s Arena.
Former player Brandon Jennings, who is a mainstay on the podcast, responded to Arenas, saying Curry gets picked up by defenders as soon as he crosses the half-court line.
“You’re not just going to let Steph Curry walk past half-court with the ball, you’re going to have to guard him,” said Jennings.
Considering Iverson was faster than Curry, Arenas also said that “no one was that f—ing stupid” to switch on the Sixers legend.
