Apart from being the most electrifying man in sports entertainment and one of the biggest names in the realm of Hollywood, Dwayne Johnson is also notable for his contributions to memes. From his iconic eyebrow raise to the bombastic side-eye, the Brahma Bull has always been an immense contributor to meme culture.
And it seems the hierarchy of Dwayne Johnson memes is once again about to change, as we might’ve found a new addition to the Black Adam star’s vast meme gallery.
A Potential New Addition to Dwayne Johnson’s Meme Library
WrestleMania XL was arguably the biggest WWE event in recent history, which saw Dwayne Johnson return to in-ring action after years. Moreover, the conclusion to Cody Rhodes‘ story, accompanied by Johnson’s heel turn, was enough to send fans into a frenzy.
Now months later, reflecting on the success of it in WrestleMania: Behind The Curtain, Johnson, who is currently a member of the board of directors, stressed that it was his call to pivot Reigns and Cody.
This has led to the creation of a new meme in the Black Adam star’s expansive meme library, which includes the likes of The Wok, his Halloween look, and the actor’s drive and power.
Memes aside, his match at Night One of WrestleMania 40 might not be the last of Johnson in the squared circle.
We Might Be Yet To See the Last of Dwayne Johnson in the Ring
After capping things on Night One of the showcase of the immortals, Dwayne Johnson, who joined the Board of Directors for WWE, stressed that “It feels like in professional wrestling that this is a new era”. While the actor said that he couldn’t elaborate on whether WWE had future plans for The Rock in the ring, he didn’t discard the possibility, stating that “We’ll see”.
Speaking of WM‘s success, he said:
It was a special night. This was the beginning of something, the beginning of something new. I think from a company stand point, this is an exciting time for the company, for WWE, for TKO.
You felt the convergence towards the end of the year. I was fortunate enough to come back. It’s an exciting time and we capped off day one of WrestleMania, which we stated would be the greatest of all time, which is saying a lot.
While time will tell what WWE has in store for Dwayne Johnson, fans surely aren’t getting tired of the memes revolving around him.
