The Golden State Warriors are clearly invested in winning a championship in the immediate future. The fact that they sent Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Chris Paul this summer is a clear testament to this fact.
Why not take it a step further by adding a proven scorer and a two-time All-Star?
Golden State Warriors Land Pascal Siakam in Wild Three-Team Trade
Lee Tran of Fadeaway World conjured up a sensational three-team trade between the Warriors, the Toronto Raptors, and the Dallas Mavericks. Below are the details of the proposed deal:
Golden State Warriors Receive: Pascal Siakam
Dallas Mavericks Receive: Andrew Wiggins
Toronto Raptors Receive: Tim Hardaway Jr., Gary Payton II, Jonathan Kuminga, Josh Green, 2026 First-Round Pick (DAL), 2028 First-Round Pick (GSW)
In terms of immediate impact, the Warriors have got to be the big winners here. Siakam, who averaged 24.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists last season would be an excellent addition for the Dubs. He would give the squad a much-needed scoring option behind Stephen Curry, while also proving to be a menace on the defensive end alongside Draymond Green in the frontcourt.
“Pascal Siakam is a proven champion, having won the 2019 championship with the Toronto Raptors as the No. 2 option behind Kawhi Leonard. He has only gotten better since then, and his skill set suggests he can be an elite No. 2 on the Warriors as well,” Tran wrote.
Dallas Mavericks Get Andrew Wiggins, Toronto Raptors Start Full Rebuild
The Dallas Mavericks also get a win-now piece in this deal by adding All-Star forward Andrew Wiggins. He should be a good fit alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on offense, while also taking the Mavs’ defense to a higher level once he comes in. Wiggins has already proven he can thrive playing alongside a couple of superstars, which is exactly what he’ll need to do in Dallas.
The Raptors, on the other hand, get to embark on their rebuild after parting ways with Fred VanVleet this summer, and now, Pascal Siakam. They have a tremendous young player to build around in Scottie Barnes, and the addition of Jonathan Kuminga and Josh Green already makes for a pretty solid young core. You then add in two future first-round picks, and the Raptors are now considerably well-equipped for the years to come.
