The Chicago Bulls legend and his brand are now household names in America, and his shoes are some of the most sought-after ones on the market. His own son, Marcus Jordan, has gotten into the sneaker business since then. Marcus, who has never shied away from openly talking about his dad’s legacy, once revealed who he is to his co-star on the show Traitors in a hilarious manner.
During a recent episode of the podcast Death, Taxes, and Bananas, Marcus Jordan was the special guest. During his conversation with Johnny Devenanzio, famously known as Johnny Bananas, the two revealed one of their earliest interactions with each other.
Johnny Bananas started the story with how the two of them were hanging out with each other, and Marcus pointed out how his shoes were a little dirty. This led to Bananas saying, “If you need a new pair of Jordans, my guy can hook you up.” However, Marcus quickly made him realize that he wouldn’t need any help, as his father owned the brand. Marcus Jordan said he replied, “Luckily, I know a guy. That’s what I like to say. You know it’s funny ’cause I definitely knew who you were.”

Marcus has never had an issue with talking about who he really is. While some people might try to hide that they come from money, Marcus Jordan has never stepped back from that conversation. He knows that he is privileged to have luxury in life because he is Michael Jordan’s son, and he is grateful for what it brings. Apart from this, Marcus Jordan has always been involved in the sneaker business himself. This led to him eventually starting his own brand called ‘Trophy Room’.
Marcus Jordan followed Michael Jordan’s footsteps off the floor
Trophy Room was a store that Marcus Jordan wanted to start that showcased his dad’s legacy along with exclusive sneakers. Marcus stated that he got the idea for the store after seeing his dad’s trophy room at their house. Despite Michael Jordan not liking the idea initially, he eventually came around. However, Jordan just wanted his son to have an idea of how to run a business before starting something of his own with no experience.
But in 2016, Michael and Marcus opened the store together, and the brand has been doing well so far. Recently, it was announced that Trophy Room would be directly collaborating with the Jordan brand to bring out some custom shoes.
