Incredible Honest Reaction from Steph Curry to Playing With Chris Paul

No one ever expected Steph Curry and Chris Paul to be teammates on the Golden State Warriors, not even Steph Curry himself.

In an interview with Jonathan Givony of ESPN, Curry revealed his very candid feelings about teaming up with Chris Paul.

“It’s a beautiful thing about basketball, you can’t write these narratives,” Curry said to ESPN. “To go full circle, we’ve had a lot of battles over the years. He’s in Year 18, I’m going into Year 15, it’s amazing we have an opportunity to play together, and hopefully win at the highest level. He’s super competitive, and so am I.”

Even though Curry has had plenty of battles with Chris Paul throughout his career, he still looks at Paul as a big brother and believes it’s surreal to be teaming up with him.

“It’s the most surreal thing in the world because he was big brother, and he is big brother in the sense of when I was coming up as a rookie, he showed me the ropes,” Curry said. “And you go into battle for playoff position, championships and all that, and there’s a lot of history. He’s in year 18, I’m in year 15. It’s just amazing that we get to do it together now. I’m gonna enjoy the ride.”

When you think of Steph Curry and Chris Paul, you tend to think of the bad blood between the Clippers and Warriors or Rockets and Warriors. What people forget about is the brotherhood these two had during Curry’s rookie year, and how much of a full-circle moment it’s going to be for the duo.
