Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry has been training with NBA Draft prospect Scott Henderson. The two recently announced their mentorship and strategic alliance, and have been strengthening their relationship throughout this pre-draft process.
During a recent podcast episode, Curry’s trainer Brandon Payne revealed an incredible story about one of these workouts with Henderson and Curry, saying, “Mr. Curry hadn’t touched a basketball in about four weeks, and he decided to rattle off 60 in a row in one drill, and Scoot’s eyes got about this big… I had to keep telling him don’t worry this isn’t normal, this is not normal.”
There are so many incredible stories about Curry’s workouts, and how abnormal they truly are. Whether it be his incredible conditioning level or unparalleled shooting ability, Curry often leaves people mesmerized by what he can do in a workout, which is equally impressive to what he can do in games.
Henderson is expected to go either second or third in this upcoming NBA Draft, with the Charlotte Hornets holding the second pick, and the Portland Trail Blazers holding the third pick. There have been a lot of rumors circulating Portland and their potential desire to deal that third pick in exchange for a win-now piece next to Damian Lillard, but there have also been a lot of conflicting reports about what Portland truly intends to do with that major asset.
