It is quite likely that any other “Expendables” action heroes could have been killed in Jason Statham’s on-set accident, according to Sylvester Stallone. “Jason is a Diver of Olympic Quality.”

The action genre of films is always been the biggest and most successful genre in modern-day filmmaking, all thanks to the larger-than-life moments it is able to bring on-screen for the audience to enjoy. Therefore, Jason Statham is widely revered and celebrated for successfully creating and being a part of many memorable and successful action films in the industry.

But being a star that specializes in bringing adrenaline-pumping energy into their films, it often requires them to go above and beyond their limits to deliver the best performance. Unfortunately, while performing one of these deadly stunts, the actor found himself in an accident which he thankfully survived, but it could’ve proven fatal for him if not for his talents.

Sylvester Stallone Recalled An Accident That Jason Statham Survived, But No One Else Could Have

Popular for being one of the most famous action stars in the modern age, British actor Jason Statham has proved time and time again why he’s the best in the business when it comes to bringing the heat in any major action flick. Apart from his amazing acting talent, he’s also a renowned Martial Artist, something that he takes great pride in. Seeing all of his abilities, Sylvester Stallone wasn’t that surprised when he saw him get into an accident and walk out alive that many might’ve died in.

During the shoot of their then-upcoming film The Expendables 3, Stallone recalls a stunt where the Hobbs and Shaw star was test-driving a three-ton truck for their upcoming scene. While doing so, the circuits malfunctioned, which lead to brake failure. As a result, the truck went head-first into the sea where the shot was supposed to take place. This horrific crash could’ve been the end for anyone else, but Statham made it out alive. In a past interview, the Rambo star said:

“He was test-driving a three-ton truck and the brakes [went] out, luckily we had taken the doors off before. If anyone else had been in that truck we would have been dead because we were all wearing heavy boots and gun belts,” he recalled. “We would have drowned. But because Jason is an Olympic-quality diver he got out of it.”

Just goes to show how much of a bada*s the actor is in real life as he is in all of his films.
