Man City successfully defended the Premier League championship this season, they finished first, 2 points ahead of Arsenal. Green Man is the first team to win the highest tournament of English football in 4 consecutive seasons. Furthermore, Man City has won the Premier League in 6 of the last 7 seasons.
Man City will once again enter the new campaign as the number 1 candidate for the championship. However, Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton shocked everyone when he predicted Man City would not win the 2024/25 Premier League championship. He posted on Instagram: “Proud of this team. The Premier League championship next season will be Arsenal’s.”
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta also believes that Premier League glory will eventually come to the Emirates Stadium, with the Gunners last winning the competition in 2004. He added: “ If we do what we do we have to do, we will get closer and eventually we will win the championship.
I don’t know when. But if we keep making progress it will happen eventually. There is only one way to do it: you have to be more determined, you have to be more ambitious, you have to have a lot of courage and go beyond all limits.
The first and foremost plan for the summer is that we have to take these players to the next level. However, it is not enough, we will certainly have to do everything possible to fill the gaps with new contracts.”
