Following Wednesday night’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic was asked if he sees any similarities between himself and Steph Curry.
“Absolutely nothing,” Jokic said. “Our games are not similar I think… He is a guy who you need to literally guard the guy when he crosses half court. He’s the most dangerous when he doesn’t have the ball. He’s the best shooter to ever play this game… In some other ways maybe we have similarities, but not in our game.”
While Jokic does not see any similarities between himself and Curry, the reigning Finals MVP had high praise for the Warriors star, speaking on how dangerous he is from anywhere on the court. Having seen Curry several times in the regular season, as well as once in the postseason, Jokic knows the challenges he presents.
It was not the most efficient night from the floor for Curry in this loss to Denver, but he still kept his team in the game against the defending champions. A few things did not go Golden State’s way, but this was still an encouraging showing without Draymond Green. While Denver was of course without Jamal Murray as well, Golden State still showed some positive things.
With the win, Denver has moved to 8-1, which has them atop the NBA right now.
