Michael Jordan wasn’t ready for one big title! MJ’s daughter Jasmine Jordan revealed that the Chicago Bulls legend had a tough time adjusting to the new title of “Grandpa” after the birth of her son Rakeem Michael Christmas. Nevertheless, it was a huge turning point for His Airness and he enjoyed every bit of being a grandparent. Now, that kid is 5 years old. As Jasmine and her close family members celebrate the big day, Jordan’s ex-wife Juanita Vanoy also showered love upon the kid.
Vanoy’s youngest, Jasmine, shared two adorable pictures on her Instagram. The grandmother quickly added a comment to send her love. She wrote, “Can’t believe my grandbaby is 5 y/o today 😮 Glamma loves you.”
The second slide had a nostalgic pic of the mother-son duo, while the first slide featured a picture of the 5-year-old’s birthday party. The post was captioned, “This Episode Of Bluey is Called: Keemie’s Birthday. f i v e | GOD you are everything cause how did we get here?! Keemie, being your mother is my greatest blessing and accomplishment. We’re a dynamic duo always. You never cease to amaze me. NEVER stop being YOU. You are divinely created! I love you so much and I got you 4L!”
As per the caption, the theme of the party was Bluey. Jasmine’s son seems to be a big fan of the popular character puppy Bluey. This cartoon character goes on fun and hilarious adventures with her younger sister, Bingo. Jasmine and Rakeem Christmas welcomed their son in 2019. On her son’s special day, the 31-year-old shared another nostalgic picture on her Instagram Story.
Jasmine Jordan shares her joys of motherhood
It is a picture of Jasmine and her son right after she gave birth. Alongside the post, she wrote, “Mother hood is the greatest hood. Glory the god to the most fulfilling aspect of my life. Thank you for picking me to be your mother.”
Her son is the apple of her eye. And that includes all the members of her family. During an interview with Today around 4 years ago, the Chicago Bulls legend said, “It’s fun because I can actually hold him (grandson) and play with him and I’m having fun watching him.”
During an appearance on the Birth Queen podcast, Jasmine shared that the toughest part of her parenthood was seeing her son sick. “I think my biggest push moment was probably the first time my son got sick. He was about six months, he wasn’t sleeping, he wasn’t eating, I was breastfeeding, and he wouldn’t take any milk,” Jasmine told the host.
While Jasmine is quite secretive about the happenings of her life, much like her father, it must have been a great treat for fans to get to know more about her 5-year-old kid.
