Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson holds power in WWE as a member of the TKO Board of Directors. Since he works closely with Triple H, it is a given that they might have good relations with each other. Cody Rhodes is a star on the roster who is considered the ‘face’ of the company by many, leading them to believe that he may also have a good relationship with the CCO of WWE.
However, this still doesn’t stop Roman Reigns and his Wiseman from pitching a story from their end. According to Paul Heyman, he doesn’t let The Rock or Cody Rhodes get in between his businesses.
The Rock gets sidelined when it’s work time
Paul Heyman was a featured face at the Fanatics Fest in NYC, which took place from the 16th to the 18th of August. He appeared in a WWE setting for the first time since he was jumped by The Bloodline on Friday Night SmackDown in Madison Square Garden.
Sam Roberts from Notsam Wrestling asked Paul Heyman live at the festival about how he keeps the storyline so meticulous if he doesn’t know what will happen in the future. The former advocate revealed that he is always working closely with Triple H.
He further said, “I don’t care if Cody Rhodes liked it. I would hope that he does. I don’t care if he does. I don’t care if Dwayne Johnson likes it. I would hope that he does. I don’t care if he does. I’m going to sell it to Paul Levesque. I’m going to keep it honest at the core of the characters.”
According to him, no matter what position Cody Rhodes or The Rock may hold in Triple H’s POV, nothing comes in the middle of his storytelling. This is what led to Roman Reigns‘ roster success so far, and it looks like he may want to avenge what happened at MSG.
Will Roman Reigns avenge Paul Heyman?
The infamous manager was the only sane person left in The Bloodline after Roman Reigns went on a hiatus. When asked to acknowledge the new Tribal Chief, Heyman declined. In a fit of rage, the new rogue version of the faction laid a beatdown on him that they were probably holding back for a while. After absolutely destroying Paul Heyman at MSG, he was carried out of the venue on a stretcher. Since then, WWE fans haven’t seen him anywhere in the promotion until the fan fest in NYC. There was speculation that the Original Tribal Chief would return to the leading wrestling promotion to avenge his Wiseman.
Although that could be one of the reasons, he hasn’t yet said a word to attest to this theory. On the contrary, Reigns has only been obsessed with getting the Ula Fala back. Perhaps now that he has been outnumbered and beaten up, he will turn into a babyface and realize all that Paul Heyman has done for him, allowing him to avenge him in the process. This might also lead to a storyline where The Rock and Roman Reign also face off against each other. This storyline was teased at the beginning of 2024, so it would only make sense for it to go down that road.
