Michael Jordan is the GOAT at embarrassing the opposition.
And not just at basketball.
Air Jordan has long been an avid golfer.
He famously challenged Dream Team coach Chuck Daly to a rematch after Daly went up 1-0 during the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, and the Pro Basketball Hall of Famer regularly plays one of the most challenging sports in the world.
One well-known PGA Tour member recently found out the hard way how good MJ is on the greens.
With the US Open at Pinehurst approaching, Xander Schauffele revealed that he’d played the Chicago Bulls legend.
Moreover, the 2024 PGA Championship winner was blown away by Air Jordan’s talent on the course and was a first-hand witness to the futility of trash talking versus a man who went a perfect 6-0 in the NBA Finals.
“It is fun,” said Schauffele, after acknowledging that he played Jordan in golf.
Then the real truth came out.
Schauffele tried to “s*** talk” Jordan and soon learned why Reggie Miller was badly burned when trying the same trick.

Jordan balanced high intensity with supreme focus during his NBA days
“I did my best version of it,” Schauffele said. “And then he beat me straight up, which is embarrassing.
“I pancaked him. And on his stroke holes, I started talking s*** to him.
“He got all quiet, focused and then he birdied 15, 16, no strokes. He beat me straight up.”
Schauffele, 30, has eight career PGA wins and 43 top-five finishes.
The winner of the 2024 PGA Championship and 2017 TOUR Championship has earned more than $50 million since joining the tour in 2017.
Only Scottie Scheffler tops Schauffele in the Official World Golf Rankings.
But MJ reminded Schauffele who the sports GOAT really is.
“As soon as he hit it towards the bunker, I was like, ‘Please, please, please, stay in it.’ And then it splashes out,” Schauffele said.
Jordan, who is 31 years older, turned the trash talking into an old-school advantage and embarrassed the PGA major winner on the course.
