Hugh Hefner’s legacy will always be debated. Some had a fond experience alongside the millionaire, including Pamela Anderson who referred to Hef as a father-figure. However, the same didn’t hold true for everyone. Holly Madison had several alarming stories pertaining to her past alongside the man behind Playboy. Opinions will always vary on Hef and his legacy with the brand.
There are several stories about the mansion, and that holds true for the parties. As detailed by so many celebs in the past, Playboy parties were different, and unlike anything else out there. However, the mansion also had strict rules and if they weren’t followed, consequences might take shape…
It appears as though that was the case with Jason Statham, who was kicked out of the mansion by Hefner himself. We’ll take a look back at what went down between the two, and why Statham was removed from the party. We’re also going to reveal the name of another actor was kicked out of the mansion, and later begged for a return.
Jason Statham Was Escorted Out Of The Playboy Mansion By Five Security Guards After Refusing To Take A Picture
The Playboy mansion was a different experience for everyone who got to attend. In her memoir Love Pamela, Anderson detailed her unique experience at the mansion for the first time, comparing it to Disneyland but without the fireworks…
She explains, “The road curved around through perfectly manicured gardens, finally arriving at a circular drive that ringed a spouting fountain. When we reached the top of the driveway, there was a sign, PLAYMATES AT PLAY. The Mansion itself was like nothing I’d ever seen, a sprawling stone house, more like a castle. Like Disneyland, without the fireworks.”
Other stars agreed with this assessment. The likes of Rob Lowe instantly felt less than once they arrived at the mansion. However, things were different for everyone, and that includes Jason Statham who was kicked out by Hugh Henfer himself back in 2008.
The troubling situation took place at a mansion party and soon enough, Statham was surrounded by several mansion guards for not obliging to a certain request. His night was cut short, while the actor shared little information…
Jason Statham’s Team Refused To Comment On The Matter
The event was the annual Midsummer Night’s Dream Party. According to SMH, the mood changed when Statham kept turning down photos with the models. This didn’t sit well with Hugh Hefner, and it cut Statham’s night short.
The publication reveals, “The Bank Job actor was escorted off Hugh Hefner’s plush Los Angeles premises after he refused to pose for pictures with models at the annual Midsummer Night’s Dream Party.”
“The British star – who attended the bash wearing only a bathrobe – was escorted out by five security guards. A source said: “It was rough.”
As expected, Jason Statham’s team decided to steer away from the story, refusing to comment on what had taken place. Nonetheless, it didn’t hurt the party mood as it featured several major names including Jon Lovitz, who was apparently eager to take pictures with everyone throughout the night. Steve Coogan was also at the mansion alongside Friends star Matthew Perry. Paris Hilton was another major star to take part in the festivities on the night.
Statham shouldn’t feel too bad as he was far from the only person to receive the boot from the mansion. In fact, a certain actor cried when he got kicked out…
Jason Statham Was Far From The Only Celeb To Get Banned From The Playboy Mansion
Luke Wilson tried to get sneaky with the Playboy mansion and not only was it unsuccessful, but it also put him on the naughty list for a little while. Wilson was caught trying to sneak a friend in, while playing it off that it was his brother Owen.
“I got DNA-ed from the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. That means “do not admit” – that’s their special word. I tried to get a friend in and I’d shown up and they said ‘Who are you with’ and I’m like ‘I’m with my brother Owen’ and they’re like ‘We need to see him. It was actually my friend Eckelman, who doesn’t look anything like Owen.”
Wilson was ultimately invited back, but he revealed it took a look of begging from his part to get access back.
“I was not allowed to go there for a year and a half. I had to make kind of a tearful phone call to Mary, the woman who kind of runs the operation. I said, ‘Mary what I did was stupid. It was wrong. Hef’s [Hugh Hefner] been so generous to me…’ I actually did, I think, cry on the telephone!”
Although the mansion created some memorable times for many, it still came with strict rules that needed to be followed.
