Glenn Robinson III was initially the 40th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft out of Michigan.
The 29-year-old most recently played in the league during the 2021 season when he appeared in 23 games for the Sacramento Kings and averaged 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest while shooting 42.4% from the field.
On Sunday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that Robinson III has an upcoming workout with the Golden State Warriors.
Via Scotto: “Former NBA Slam Dunk champion Glenn Robinson III will participate in a private workout with NBA veterans for the Golden State Warriors, league sources told @hoopshype. The 29-year-old 6-foot-6 swingman is a career 37.3 percent 3-point shooter over seven seasons.”
In addition to his time with Sacramento, Robinson III has also played with the Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers (and Warriors).
He appeared in 48 regular season games with the Warriors during the 2020 season and averaged 12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest while shooting 48.1% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range.
His stint with Golden State was arguably the best of his career, so he could end up being a good veteran for them to consider signing.
As for the Warriors, they are coming off a year where they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and had a 44-38 record.
They beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second.
