Ryan Garcia ruthlessly took aim at Michael Jordan when he named his greatest athlete of all time.
Garcia appeared on Kick Game’s latest episode of Shopping for Sneakers.
And in naming his sporting GOAT, the boxing superstar hit out at NBA legend Jordan in a bizarre outburst.
Asked to name the greatest athlete of all time, Garcia didn’t hesitate with his answer, replying: “Muhammad Ali.”
Of course, Ali enjoyed a remarkable career inside the boxing ring and transcended the sport with his selfless out-of-ring endeavours.
When the host pointed to a pair of Air Jordans, referencing the former Chicago Bulls player, Garcia went off.
The 25-year-old claimed Jordan ‘didn’t do sh*t’ for people and rates the late Kobe Bryant more.
“No, [Michael] Jordan didn’t do s**t for the people. Jordan made some shoes,” he exclaimed. “I don’t give a f**k about no six rings, I give a f**k about what you did outside the court… What did you do outside the court bro? I like Kobe [Bryant]
better than him.”
Garcia, however, concluded with some nice words as he revealed his father loves Jordan.
“My dad’s from Chicago, my dad loves Jordan. I met Jordan, he’s cool,” he added.
As mentioned, Jordan won an impressive six NBA championships during his spell at the Bulls, becoming a cultural icon.
Bryant, on the other hand, won five NBA championships and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.
He sadly passed away in a helicopter crash back in 2020.
Garcia, meanwhile, hasn’t fought since his huge win over Devin Haney last April.
However, he not only missed weight for the super-lightweight clash but also tested positive for ostarine, a performance enhancing drug.
