Real Madrid wing Dzanan Musa compared his star teammate Sergio Llull to Steph Curry when it comes to some of the shots the Blancos veteran often makes.
“I’ve only seen Steph Curry make the 3-pointers he [LLull] makes,” Musa said per AS.
Musa’s comments arrived after of Real Madrid‘s win over Barcelona in Game 2 of the Spanish ACB semifinals. Llull hit four threes in the match, including one from almost half court to beat the third-quarter buzzer.
Llull, who’s hit many 3-pointers like this – and perhaps some even crazier – throughout his career, finished with 18 points as many as Musa to help Real Madrid get a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-five series against Barcelona. The Blaugrana host Game 3 Sunday (2/6) and also Game 4 if they win.
In 2019, Llull, the 2017 EuroLeague MVP, was voted as the best international player to not play in the NBA, by league general managers. Daryl Morey, the Houston Rockets back in the day, often expressed his optimism that the Spanish superstar would be convinced to join the club but the player never left Real Madrid.
