The Golden State Warriors have kept themselves fairly busy in trying to fill up their final roster spots this off-season. While it looks like they haven’t filled the spot yet, they’re certainly trying all sorts of avenues.
According to a report from Michael Scotto of Hoopshype, former NBA Slam Dunk champion Glenn Robinson III will participate in a private workout with NBA veterans for the Golden State Warriors.
Robinson is a 29-year-old, 6’6″ small forward / shooting guard that most recently played for the Sacramento Kings during the 2020-21 NBA season. His first season was with the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2014-25 NBA season. Robinson has been out of the league for nearly three years, dating back to the 2020-21 season. Throughout his career, he averaged 5.9 points and 2.6 rebounds on 46/37/78 shooting. His capability to shoot is decent, and he’s also a very athletic piece to have on a team.
Despite playing essentially seven seasons in the NBA, Glenn Robinson III hasn’t found much success in the league. This opportunity with the Golden State Warriors could potentially be one of his last, and players with that level of pressure either rise up or fold. It’s been seen with a player like Dwight Howard when he joined the championship Lakers during the 2020 NBA season. Hopefully, Robinson makes the most of his opportunity and proves his doubters wrong.
