Starting lineup for the Warriors versus the Spurs

On Friday evening, the Golden State Warriors will host the San Antonio Spurs for their final preseason game.

The Warriors have gone 4-0 through their first four games and are coming off a 116-115 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

For Friday’s showdown with the Spurs, the Warriors have announced their starting lineup.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic: “Warriors starters tonight

Kevon Looney

Steve Kerr said it won’t be a high minute night for the veterans. He will play plenty of guys. Plans to get Rodney McGruder on the floor.”

The Warriors are coming off a season where they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 44-38 record.

They beat the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round (in six games).

Despite the up-and-down year, the Warriors have been to the NBA Finals six times over the previous nine seasons (and won four NBA Championships in that span).

On October 24, the Warriors will play their first game of the regular season when they host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

As for the Spurs, they are coming off a year where they were the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-60 record.

They will play their first game of the season on October 25, when they host Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks.
