The fit with Steph Curry and Chris Paul projects to be an interesting one, because while Paul was certainly brought in to strengthen the non-Curry minutes, the two will also spend a lot of time on the floor together this season. Following Golden State Warriors practice on Tuesday, the two point guards were seen working out together, and the footage was shared by Anthony Slater of The Athletic:
The footage is going viral as fans react to what the two players are working on. As Slater mentioned in his initial post, the Warriors are quickly trying to integrate Paul into their style of play, which is much different than how he has played for most of his career.
It was cool to see Paul and Curry working out with just them two, because the dynamic between Golden State’s two point guards will be integral to their success. Paul will certainly have the opportunity to run his own unit when Curry sits, but when both point guards are on the floor together, Paul needs to ensure he is fitting in with what has made Golden State so successful over the years.
This is what training camp is all about, and while the Warriors are shorthanded without Draymond Green, they are already getting acclimated as a group with their newest additions to the team.
