Roger Federer paid Steph Curry, head coach Steve Kerr and the Golden State Warriors a visit on Saturday when he met the team at training before watching its NBA match against San Antonio Spurs.
The Swiss star embraced the side and posed for photographs at the Chase Center, before he made his mark on the court, scoring a perfect four out of four when shooting hoops. The 103 tour-level titlist Federer has fond memories with Curry, having also met the basketball player during the Rolex Shanghai Masters in 2017.
Federer was visiting the Chase Center after Thursday’s announcement that 18,000 seater stadium would host the eighth edition of the Laver Cup in 2025.
The Chase Center, currently the home of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors, was opened in 2019 and is used for a variety of sporting and entertainment events on the West Coast of the United States. The 2025 Laver Cup will be held from September 19-21.
