During the recent all-star break Steph Curry spoke to the NBA media about seeing his brother Seth, play for his hometown team the Charlotte Hornets. You can watch the full interview or ready the full transcription below.
“It was a surprise, I didn’t know Seth was on the trade block or not up until two days before. But, the fact he had his homecoming going back to Charlotte, the first game they played they wore their retro, old school pin stripe Hornets jerseys which my pops wore, as you said number 30.”
“It’s funny, I think my Dad said on the broadcast, I don’t think anybody asked Seth or my Dad what number he was going to wear, they just did it knowing that it was a pretty easy decision. It’s cool to see the “Curry 30″ alive back in Charlotte.”
“I’ve still got a lot of family there, my Dad still doing the color commentating for games, it’s a family affair for sure. We haven’t played them yet, so it will be cool, we have two games against them coming up in the second half of the year which I’m excited about.”
Hornets fans will be dreaming that Steph Curry follows in his brother’s footsteps and returns to play for his hometown team one day. The earliest that could possibly happen looks to be 2026 when Steph Curry next becomes a Free Agent.
