Stephen Curry is more than just the greatest shooter of all time and the best player in Golden State Warriors history.
He’s one of the most underrated superstars of all time, a guy who’s beaten the odds over and over to prove to the doubters and naysayers that he’s special.
Now, everybody on Earth will get a glimpse of his journey to stardom as he hyped the fans up with an official trailer for Underrated, his documentary set to premiere on Apple TV on July 21.
One could argue that Steph had an easy path to the league, being the son of former sharpshooter Dell Curry.
But that wasn’t the case whatsoever.
He had to forge a path of his own, being constantly overlooked in high school and not even being a one-and-done player at Davidson.
Even after three stellar years and one historic season in college, Curry still fell to the No. 7 spot in the NBA Draft, with the Minnesota Timberwolves taking not one but two point guards ahead of him with back-to-back selections.
Curry had to overcome early doubts and criticism, and the Warriors even tried to trade him to the Milwaukee Bucks for Andrew Bogut, but the Bucks preferred Monta Ellis instead.
Fast forward to today, and the underrated guard is now considered the best shooter of all time, has won four championships, and is the only unanimous MVP in the history of the league.
If that story doesn’t inspire you and get you going, then nothing will.
