On Saturday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Portland Trail Blazers at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Two-time MVP Steph Curry is playing in his 909th career game, which ties Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore for 249th on the NBA’s all-time regular season games played list.
Following Gilmore, the next players for Curry to pass will be Steve Kerr and Nick Collison (910).
Curry came into the evening with averages of 28.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 42.4% from the three-point range in 26 games.
The Warriors got off to a slow start to the season but have been playing much better as of late.
They are in the middle of a four-game winning streak and most recently defeated the Washington Wizards by a score of 129-118.
In 27 minutes of playing time, Curry had 30 points, four rebounds, seven assists and one block while shooting 9/18 from the field and 8/13 from the three-point range.
The Warriors are 14-14 in their first 28 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and 8-6 in the 14 games they have played on their home floor.
Following the Trail Blazers, the Warriors will visit Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Monday evening in Colorado.
Curry is in his 15th season in the NBA (all with the Warriors) and has career averages of 24.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 1.6 steals per contest.
